The Power of Language
In the book, The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul, Douglas Adams says : “Words used carelessly, as if they did not matter in any serious way, often allowed otherwise well-guarded truths to seep through.”
Neither as eloquent, not as secretive as Douglas Adams, we nevertheless whole heartedly agree with him about the power of words and language – not just from the point of view of service but from the perspective of leadership, interactions with your peers and ultimately, even your self.
In this session, Elnian will discuss the power of language from various perspectives using examples to illustrate the coded messages that frequently used phrases can deliver. She will give you suggestions on how to make the language in your business more positive and intentional and how to identify the particular pitfalls for your industry.
