Location

Time

Training starts at 8:30am and ends promptly at 4:00pm. Some days have optional tours before and after the training.

Food

You bet! There will be plenty of food and beverages! Breakfast is served from 8:00am onwards and lunch goes from 12:00pm – 1:00pm. We would love to accommodate your dietary restrictions and will be sending you a survey to ask you about them soon. Look for this questionnaire in your inbox about 1 week or so before your training.

Dress

Please dress casually and comfortably (jeans are fine). It’s hard to keep the rooms at a temperature that is perfect for everyone so we suggest dressing in layers.

Tours

There are optional behind-the-scenes tours of Zingerman’s other businesses offered right after the seminar on the first day and before and after the seminar on the second day. You can sign up for the tours during the seminars.

Airport

Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) is the closest airport. We suggest you fly in the night before the training.  Book your return flight for 6:30pm or later the day your training ends.

Car Rental

We suggest you rent a car as we are ~25 minutes from Detroit Metro Airport. There are indeed ways to get around Ann Arbor without a car, but renting a car will probably be the most expeditious and cost effective. UBER and LYFT are also viable options.

Lodging

There are many lodging options around our fair town (a few of whom offer discounts!), and you can find them here. AirBNB and VRBO options are also widely available.

Parking

We have ample parking on the sides and back of our building. The side that is farther away from Zingerman’s Coffee Company and closer to the trees. Check out our parking map!

Weather

Michigan gets all four seasons and sometimes in one day. Check out weather.com or the National Weather Service to pack appropriately.

Events Around Town

Here’s a list of events happening in and around Ann Arbor.

ZingTrain is a single-story facility with no stairs. We have a wheelchair accessible ramp at the end of the lot outside our front door. Our back door is on ground level and has an accessible parking space at our back door.

We have both multi-stall, gendered bathrooms and non-gendered, single-stall restrooms.

We can accommodate many dietary preferences—including kosher and halal — so don’t hesitate to tell us what you need. In fact, we’re so eager to get you the kind of food that you want, it’s a question in the pre-seminar survey we’ll send to you!
